A workshop to make botanical creations using colourful drinking straws. In collaboration with Lucile Sciallano and Briony Barr.
Will you make long, pink seaweed which stretches over the ocean floor? Or a wide shady tree which gives elephants shelter? When trees grow, the branches split into two (and two again) to make more and more branches, and eventually even leaves. This scientific process has rules that we can copy to make our own trees. Play together or alone, it’s easy to invent and create real or imaginary plants.
